This seal goes on the back of the crankshaft. This seal is usually not replaced as part of the standard maintenance schedule. It is only replaced if it starts to leak. Replacement of this seal requires removal of the transmission to access the seal. It is a very labor intensive process that should not need to be done unless the seal is leaking.
